What is the difference between Transformational Breath® and other breathwork techniques, such as Rebirthing and Holotropic Breathing?

différence entre la Transformational Breath® et les autres techniques de breathwork

The aim of Transformational Breath® is the integration of our traumas and suppressed emotions within the cellular memory in order to re-establish our full spiritual connection, i.e. with Spirit or the Source of Life.

The purpose of Rebirthing, as defined by its founder, Leonard Orr, is to integrate our birth trauma in order to free ourselves from the suffering associated with it.
According to Stanislav Grof, the founder of Holotropic Breathing, the aim of this approach is to investigate the psyche. However, it should be noted that these two techniques have evolved enormously over time through the work of their various practitioners. Their objectives have therefore evolved from the original intention of their founders and vary according to the school.

What sets Transformational Breath® apart from other breathwork techniques is that it uses acupressure points, sound, movement, different body positions and breath analysis. It also uses invocations to connect to the guidance of our intuition and of something greater than ourselves for the unfolding of the session. It believes that each person has all the resources and answers within themselves, and our role as facilitators is to enable the person to access them by themselves.

Another important point of divergence is that Transformational Breath® uses the complete breathing pattern, from the lower abdomen to the upper chest. In this way, the blockages and stresses of each part can be integrated. Rebirthing focuses mainly on the upper chest and lungs; Holotropic Breathing does not give any particular indication on this point.

Transformational Breath® is the most recent and most complete of these three breathing techniques.
